5月1日国际劳动节当天，倬亿国际集团董事长陈秀霞女士与2024届清华大学苏世民书院学子进行了一场“启发新一代领导者”的对话。

As part of May's activities, Chief Diana Chen, Group CEO of Choice International Group/CIG Motors Company Limited, hosted a program titled "A conversation with Chief Diana Chen & Schwarzman Scholars 2024."

陈秀霞董事长在倬亿国际集团非洲业务总部亲自接待了清华大学苏世民书院学子代表团。清华大学苏世民书院以培养对中国和中国文化在21世纪复杂地缘政治格局中的作用有更深入的了解为目标，特别是在中国对全球趋势的影响不断扩大的情况下。该项目旨在识别和培养未来的全球领导者。

Chief Diana Chen received a delegation of Schwarzman Scholars from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. This prestigious program identifies and cultivates future global leaders by fostering a deeper understanding of China, its culture, and its role in the 21st century's complex geopolitical landscape, particularly as China's influence on global trends continues to expand.

陈秀霞董事长带领苏世民学子们参观了广汽G-Style汽车展厅，充满尼日利亚艺术气息的展厅表达着企业对当地文化艺术的融入和创新。他们还参观了售后服务中心，深入了解CIG MOTORS对客户满意度的执着。参观结束后，现场举行了一场题为“陈秀霞董事长与苏世民学子的对话”座谈会，这是具有启发新一代领导意义的对话。

Chief Diana Chen took the delegation on a tour of the impressive CIG Motors facilities. This included the stunning, artistic GAC G-Style showroom, showcasing the company's commitment to design and innovation. They also explored the Aftersales service center, gaining insights into CIG Motors' dedication to customer satisfaction. Following the tour, the program shifted to a thought-provoking discussion titled "A conversation with Chief Diana Chen & Schwarzman Scholars." This session undoubtedly fostered meaningful dialogue and inspired the next generation of leaders.

在清华大学的苏世民项目中，学子们通过课程、语言、文化的深度学习项目和交流机会，获得对中国的独特见解。此外，项目还提供了参加为期一周的游学机会，让学子们能够深入了解中国社会的每个角度。同时，还培养学子们的领导能力，促使他们对世界产生积极的影响。

In the course of the program at Tsinghua University, scholars acquire a unique insight into China through coursework, language training, cultural immersion, deep dive programsand networking opportunities. The deep dive deepens the experience of the scholars beyond the classroom by providing opportunity to participate in a weeklong trip to explore an angle of Chinese society. The program also equips them with leadership skills and capacity to make positive impacts in the world.

苏世民学子团队共17人，分别来自尼日利亚、中国、阿富汗、巴西、科特迪瓦、德国、印度、肯尼亚、印度尼西亚、韩国、英国、新加坡和美国等国家，毕业于剑桥大学、牛津大学、普林斯顿大学、巴黎高等商学院、纽约大学、耶鲁大学、伦敦国王学院、新加坡国立大学、宾夕法尼亚大学、沃顿商学院等全球顶级常春藤盟校。此次抵达尼日利亚拉各斯维多利亚岛的倬亿国际集团非洲业务总部，参加2024年的深度学习。学子们凭借在制造业、科技、专业服务、金融服务、非营利/社会企业、风险投资、多边组织、戏剧和电影等领域的不同背景，以开放的、无限渴望学习的心态与陈秀霞董事长对话交流。

The 17 member Schwarzman Scholar team, drawn from countries like Nigeria, China, Afghanistan, Brazil, Cote d’Ivoire, Germany, India, Kenya, Indonesia, South Korea, UK, Singapore and USA, who graduated from top global Ivy league Institutions such as University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, Princeton University, HEC Paris, NYU, Yale University, King’s College London, National University of Singapore, University of Pennsylvania, the Wharton School and others, arrived the African Headquarter of Choice International Group/ CIG Motors Company Ltd., at 146b Ligali Ayorinde, Victoria Island, Lagos, for the 2024 Deep Dive. The Scholars leveraging their diverse backgrounds cutting across manufacturing, technology, professional services, financial services, non-profit/social enterprise, venture capital, multilateral organizations, theatre and film and others, came with open mind, unbridled excitementand an eagerness to soak in everything that a conversation with Chief Diana Chencould offer.

学子们进行了深入讨论，并提出了非常重要的问题，都得到了陈董事长的充分而真诚的回答。讨论围绕着技术转让、基础设施发展、文化和商业合作、尼日利亚和中国之间的贸易促进、非洲大陆自由贸易区（AFCFTA）、非洲年青人才保留，以及陈秀霞董事长如何在男性主导的行业中成为开拓展的话题。

The Scholars did a deep dive and raised very important questions which were roundly and honestly attended to by Chairman Chen. The conversation centred on technology transfer and infrastructural development, cultural and business collaborations, trade promotion between Nigeria and China, Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA), Retention of young African brains in the continent, and how Chief Diana Chen managed to become a trailblazer in a male dominated industry.

1、中国和尼日利亚之间的商业合作带来了巨大的技术转让和基础设施发展，然而，仍有许多未开发的机会。

2、苏世民学子应作为文化合作的倡导者，加强和扩大中国与世界其他地区的关系。

3、非洲国家必须立即采取行动，充分发挥AFCFTA的作用，释放合作将带来的巨大财富和机会。

4、非洲各国和有组织的私营部门需要找到创造性的方式和激励措施，将年轻的非洲人才留在非洲大陆。

5、尼日利亚和中国之间的贸易去美元化将大大增加贸易网络，也为两国带来巨大的利益。

At the end of the conversation with Chief Diana Chen, the engagement produced these conclusions

1. Commercial collaboration between China and Nigeria have resulted in huge technology transfer and infrastructural development, however, there are still many unexplored opportunities.

2. Schwarzman Scholars should stand in as cultural collaboration champions to strengthen and expand the relationship between China and the rest of the world.

3. The nations of Africa must act with urgency to give full expression to AFCFTA to unlock the enormous riches and opportunities that the collaboration would unleash.

4. The governments of Africa and the organized private sector need to find creative ways and incentives to retain young African brains in the continent.

5. De-dollarization of the trade between Nigeria and China would greatly increase the trade net and also attract huge benefits to both countries.

This event served as a valuable exchange between established leader and promising young minds. It served as a catalyst for igniting a passion for leadership and fostering a deeper understanding between cultures. The Schwarzman Scholars left the event not only with a newfound appreciation for the automotive industry but also equipped with valuable knowledge and inspiration from Chief Diana Chen, a leading figure in the business world. This exchange of ideas has the potential to create a ripple effect, shaping the future actions of these promising young leaders and fostering positive change on a global scale.
